How to make a green smoothie
You can combine the following four categories of ingredients as you see fit.
Green(use one or more): avocado, celery, broccoli, cucumber, sprouts, beet greens, swiss chard, cabbage greens, collard greens, bok choy, spinach, kale.
Liquid (use one): coconut water, coconut milk, almond milk, tea, water. You could also ass ice if you like your smoothie chilled.
Fruits/veggies (use one or more): tomatoes, pumkin, lemon and ginger root, beets (top and root), carrots, coconut, cherries, apples, bananas, blueberries and strawberries.
Ad-ins: protein powder (with no added sugar), natural sweetner (strevia, xylitol), cinnamon which regulates blood sugar and flaxmeal for Omeg-3’s.
Green smoothies are difficult to mess up and easy to make. And this makes quite ideal.
If you are skeptical about the process outlined above, here is a beginner-friendly version: take kale, banana, mango, water, and ice, combine them, and boom. Yes, it’s weird and green, but don’t be afraid – it’s also delicious.
